TEHRAN: Iran executed four Israeli-linked saboteurs in West Azerbaijan Province on Friday after they were found guilty of espionage for the Zionist regime.
The four saboteurs, who had committed acts of treason against the nation, faced the gallows after due legal process.
They had participated in abducting and torching the vehicles and houses of Iranian security personnel.
They had also been charged with recording and transmitting their operations to Israeli spymasters.
The four saboteurs were part of a 10-member group that was nabbed in October for having ties with Israel.
The provincial judiciary chief said then that the 10 were tasked with locating intelligence agents who were countering Israel.
He said they were captured through intelligence surveillance and that they had been paid by Israeli spies and Mossad operatives.
The four main culprits are identified as Wafa Henare, Aram Omari, Rahman Parhaz, and Nasim Namazi.
