MI6 asks Russians to join as agents in effort to end Ukraine conflict

0

The Head of Britain’s MI6 foreign spy service, Richard Moore, urged Russians deeply concerned by the ongoing war in Ukraine to cooperate with his intelligence agency and collectively put an end to the bloodshed.

During a speech delivered at the British embassy in Prague, Moore likened the current situation in Ukraine to the historical Prague Spring in 1968, where the Soviet Union suppressed attempts at liberalizing reforms.

Drawing attention to the internal challenges faced by Russians in witnessing their leaders’ venality, infighting, and callous incompetence, Moore extended an invitation to them to unite with MI6. He emphasized that the agency’s doors are open, assuring that their secrets would be kept confidential, while together, they work towards halting the violence and bringing peace to the region.
