ASTANA,Kazakhstan(Raza Syed)-Astana, the spiritual hub of the world, has once again opened its doors to the 21st session of the Secretariat of the Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions. Chaired by the distinguished Speaker of the Senate, Mullen Ashambayev, this high-profile event witnessed the gathering of esteemed religious leaders representing Islam, Christianity, Buddhism, Judaism, Hinduism, Taoism, and Shintoism. In addition, representatives from international organizations hailing from 24 countries, along with political figures, actively participated in the event.
The Secretariat, a pivotal institution born from the inaugural Congress in September 2003, has since evolved into the primary working body of this illustrious Forum. Annually, it scrutinizes the execution of Congress resolutions, shapes the agenda, addresses organizational matters, and drafts the conclusive documents that guide the Congress’s work.
Astana, consistently proving itself as the spiritual capital of the world, will once again play a pivotal role in facilitating interfaith dialogue and understanding among world leaders. With diverse religious traditions and international collaboration at its core, this Congress continues to be a beacon of hope and cooperation in an ever-changing global landscape.
