PARIS(TASS) – French Foreign Minister, Stephane Sejourne, announced that France has no plans to deploy troops to Ukraine. “The French will not die for Ukraine. We will not send troops,” he stated.

On February 26, French President Emmanuel Macron revealed that the potential deployment of Western ground forces to Ukraine was discussed at a meeting in Paris. The meeting, attended by representatives from approximately 20 Western countries, focused on how to further support Ukraine amidst its conflict with Russia. Macron indicated that while no consensus was reached regarding this matter, the possibility of such a scenario in the future cannot be dismissed. However, following the conference, the majority of the participating countries declared that they had no intentions of deploying troops to Ukraine and were, in fact, against engaging in combat operations against Russia.
