On 11 January 2020, Hamid Karzai former president of Afghanistan supposedly a messenger of NDS – RAW visited Nawaz Sharif a convicted criminal currently on strange medical bail abroad at his residence Avon field Apartments in Park Lane, central London. The very apartments which Sharifs denying the ownership. So why Nawaz Sharif who left Pakistan to have treatment for life threatening ‘mysterious disease’ running his political party and meeting anti Pakistan foreigners at his residence? Hamid Karzai was accompanied by the staff of Afghan embassy in London.
Last time I met with former President Hamid Karzai was at a press conference in official residence of the British Prime Minister, No.10 Downing Street, London with Prime Minister Gordon Brown. President Hamid Karazi was spewing poison and blaming Pakistan for his problems in Afghanistan. I just asked him, when are you taking your Afghan refugees back to your country and Pakistan has nothing to do with all the problems you having inside your country, you been ungrateful as Pakistanis are hosting over 2.5 million Afghans since 1979 and also feeding them wheat, rice and oil smuggled from Pakistan. I was sitting right in front of him and he became tearful and said: ‘Pakistanis are our brother and I am thankful for all the support they have given to us’.
Karzai did not take part in the US backed Afghan Jihad in the 1980 against the Soviets, when present day terrorists used to be ‘US heroes called ‘MUJS’ short for mujahideen’. He left the country and went to study in India. He then stayed in Islamabad, visiting western embassies and running a hotel in Peshawar. Hamid Karazi own chain of Afghan restaurants called ‘Helmand’ in Baltimore, Boston, California, Chicago and San Francisco which probably his brother run with his American wife.
Pakistan’s rotten judicial and accountability system will take the country down to many pieces if traitors, looters, criminals and foreign agents allowed to get away with murders and loot of people. Tanks, jets and ships will be of no use when whole system is already collapsed and foreign agents sitting in the high places sabotaging the state. Late Brigadier Usman Khalid told me once, ‘as how minority groups were running transfer posting in the armed forces. He said: ‘they would undermine and discourage bright and talented officers and force them to early retire or not promote but promote D type, so their targeted candidate shines in the promotional boards.
I always say, ‘if you undermine bright officers and play with weak team, you are playing for the enemy’. Those who have non serious and childish behavior in sensitive position should be replaced keeping in view the risks and challenges Pakistan is facing.
The recent events in Pakistan have exposed risks and challenges state is facing from foreign assets in judiciary, politics, business, stock exchange and security. Starting from Benazir Bhutto, Nawaz Sharif, Gen Musharraf and Asif Zardari all have played a role in weakening, undermining and clipping wings of the top security agencies. Everyone knows how officers’ lists were given to Benazir Bhutto by foreign governments and she very obediently removed the officers. This practice continues by Nawaz Sharif three-time prime minister. The difference was he instead of paying bribes made close relatives as business partners. The volume 10 submitted in the supreme court of Pakistan in Panama Case has a full log of Sharifs crimes against state of Pakistan. Those who facilitated his escape from Pakistan to London are equally responsible and partners in crime.
The indecisiveness in the ‘Dawn Leaks’ by Sharifs, Maryam Nawaz and ‘Memo Gate’ by Asif Zardari, exposed the weaknesses and vulnerability of the security establishment and surely it is time to rebuild the capacity and increase competences. There is a greater need for establishing an economic intelligence and counter measure department urgently.
‘If you undermine your Tigers fighting on the front line, soon dogs of the enemy will tear you apart’.
