Istanbul (London Post) December,6- The new train is due to run from Paris to Istanbul in 2025, almost 40 years after the old Orient Express stopped running in 1977. The Nostalgic Istanbul Orient Express will be equipped with refurbished cars made from the original train.
It was announced earlier this year that some of the original Orient Express carriages would be refurbished and brought back to the delight of vintage car enthusiasts around the world. A luxury travel company has rediscovered them in Polish railway yards and as the nostalgic Istanbul Orient Express, he has announced plans to relaunch 17 of the original carriages in 2025.
Revived vehicles include sleepers, saloon cars, and dining cars. Even in their dilapidated state, they radiated a bygone, very glorious era. But that has nothing to do with what they will look like after the refurbishment. Parisian design studio Maxime D’Angelo was commissioned to redesign the carriages. Filled with gorgeous 1920s updates, it seems to stay true to the golden age of travel.
Operated by French company Accor, the nostalgic Istanbul Orient-Express isn’t the only one dedicated to reviving the luxury of the original Orient-Express. Luxury travel company Belmond already operates its own Orient Express route across Europe and continues to introduce new services, including holiday trains connecting winter destinations across the continent. Accor will also launch another Orient Express service, La Dolce Vita, scheduled to cross Italy in 2023. A hundred years later, his Roaring Twenties seem to be back in full swing.
