US to send 32 Stryker armored vehicles to Ukraine

NEWYOURK (AP) -A fresh package of US military aid to Ukraine, totaling $400 million, includes 32 Stryker armored fighting vehicles. Citing reliable sources, the news agency stated that the package will also include howitzer artillery rounds, Hydra-70 rockets, surveillance Hornet drones, HIMARS and NASAMS missiles, along with Stingers and Javelins. Moreover, approximately 28 million rounds of small arms ammunition will be supplied by the US.

 

Reuters earlier mentioned that the United States might make an official announcement regarding the new $400 million military assistance package on July 25.

A forthcoming arms transfer from the United States to the Kyiv regime is anticipated to comprise of an array of military equipment from the Pentagon’s stockpile. This package shall encompass multiple Stryker armoured fighting vehicles, demining apparatus, NASAMS short-and medium-range ground-based air defense system ammunition, Patriot air defense systems, and HIMARS multiple launch rocket systems. Notably, the transfer will also include TOW and Javelin anti-tank missile systems, as reported by Reuters.

It is worth noting that the US authorities retain the option to modify the contents of this package, with Reuters remarking that it will not incorporate cluster munitions.

As of July 20, CNN disclosed that Washington may declare a fresh military aid package worth $400 million for Kyiv this week.
