LONDON (Raza Syed):The Embassy of Uzbekistan in London hosted a tourism-themed “Introducing Uzbekistan” event at embassy building to promote Uzbekistan’s culture and tourism potential. A large number of Tour Operators, lifestyle and travel influencers having millions of online followers attended the reception.
Mr.Davron Aliakbarov, Second Secretay of Uzbek embassy to UK, welcomed the guests by saying: “What do you think of when you hear ‘Uzbekistan’? Our people ,our traditions and Silk Road? Familiar landmarks such as Registan Square (Samarkand), Po-i-Kalyan and the Kalyan Minaret (Bukhara), Kalta Minor Minaret (Khiva), Tomb of Daniel (Samarkand), Chor Minor (Bukhara), Khast-Imam Square (Tashkent) and many more? The beautiful landscapes of Turan plain and Rivers like Amu Darya and Syr Darya? Two major deserts of Kyzylkum and Karakum?Or characters from works by Abdulla Oripov, Zakhiriddin Babur . Lutfi? Or do you think about modern Uzbekistan? Tashkent skyscrapers such as the Tashkent TV Tower and National Bank of Uzbekistan? Whatever aspect of tourism you are looking for – Uzbekistan has it all.” Uzbekistan is blessed with majestic landscapes, rich and diverse culture and historical heritage,he added.
Moreover, The event was livened up by performance of Alina Babeshko, a young talented dancer from Uzbekistan flown all the way from Tashkent specially for this event thanks to Yuldosh Juraboev, Director of Orzu Arts, the only Central Asian theatre in the UK.
Talking to the”London Post” Managing Director of a tour company and Travel Expert, Mr Mustansar Mashkur and his wife Samina Mashkur( Director of & Sales Marketing), told that their company is UK based licensed Travel and Tour Operators since 2010. We have expanded from corporate to leisure travel and our specialty is on promoting Islamic Heritage tours. We provide tailor made Bespoke Escorted & Guided Tours. We had highlighted Uzbekistan tourism last year as well. Moreover, This year in September,we have arranged a tour group to Uzbekistan.

At the end of the programme,Traditional cuisines like Uzbek pilaf,cutlets,manti,samsa and traditional Uzbek sweets that abound in flavor were served to the guests.
