- At least 3,785 Palestinians killed by Israeli airstrikes so far in ongoing Israel-Palestine war
- Embassies in Bahrain, Jordan, and Morocco are evacuated
JERUSALEM: Israel has initiated evacuations of several of its embassies in the Middle East, including those in Bahrain, Jordan, and Morocco, as confirmed by the Israeli Broadcasting Authority’s official website on Thursday.
While precise details about the evacuations have not been disclosed, the Israeli authority has reported the relocation of its embassies in Bahrain and Morocco. Furthermore, the Israeli Broadcasting Authority indicated that the embassy in Jordan had been evacuated at the outset of the ongoing conflict. This directive came under the orders of Israel’s Foreign Minister Eli Cohen and the Ministry’s Director-General.
The ongoing hostilities have plunged Gaza into a severe humanitarian crisis, characterized by a lack of electricity and dwindling supplies of water, food, fuel, and medical resources. This dire situation has prompted UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres to call for an “immediate humanitarian cease-fire” in an effort to alleviate the profound human suffering.
As the conflict continues, casualties have mounted, with over 3,785 Palestinians killed in Israeli attacks on Gaza, and more than 1,400 individuals losing their lives in Israel due to the hostilities. The situation remains fluid and continues to evolve.
