ASTANA: The Kazakh Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry announced that Kazakhstan has begun exporting its IT solutions for e-government development to Tajikistan. The export is a result of the cooperation between the ministry, the National Information Technology (NIT), and the KazAID Kazakhstan Agency for International Development. The ministry’s press service said that the export would enhance the digital transformation and public service delivery in Tajikistan.
The ministry’s press service said that the export would help Tajikistan improve its digital transformation and public service delivery. The IT products include Smart Bridge, a unified e-government platform, and Smart Data Ukimet, a system that enables effective interaction between government agencies and citizens.
The NIT team transferred the first e-government components to the Tajik ministry on Dec. 21, after conducting a comprehensive assessment of Tajikistan’s digital readiness and information systems. The ministry said that the technical team also shared the experience and practices of Kazakhstan in implementing the digital government platform.
The cooperation agreement was signed in August, during Tajik President Emomali Rahmon’s visit to Astana, where he met with Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. Tokayev had stressed the importance of increasing Kazakhstan’s IT services exports to $1 billion by 2026 in his state-of-the-nation address on Sept. 1.
