Pakistani Pace Bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi and Ansha Afridi, tied the knot in a private nikah ceremony on February 3 of this year, adhering to the customs of the Afridi tribe. The wedding remained discreet with only a limited circle in the know. The news of their union became public knowledge in July when Shaheen shared photographs of their special day on various social media platforms. Ansha’s father, former Pakistan cricket captain Shahid Afridi, also posted images from the ceremony. Now, the couple is gearing up to host lavish celebrations following the conclusion of the ongoing Asia Cup.

In a departure from their previous intimate celebration, this time, the couple is enthusiastic about sharing their joy with friends and loved ones in a grand ceremony later this month.

According to the widely circulated wedding invitation making rounds on social media, Shaheen is set to bring his bride home on September 19. Their wedding festivities are scheduled to be held in Karachi, with a Walima reception planned in Islamabad on September 21.

Following the wedding ceremony, the Pakistani fast bowler will be jetting off to India to participate in the ICC ODI World Cup 2023. The tournament is set to commence on October 5 with the first match pitting New Zealand against England. Pakistan’s inaugural match against the Netherlands will be held on October 6 at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad.
