MOSCOW/TASS/ – Maria Zakharova, the spokeswoman for the Russian Foreign Ministry, has criticized the United States’ decision not to assist Russia following the terrorist attack at Crocus City Hall, as stated on her Telegram channel.

Previously, John Kirby, the National Security Council coordinator for strategic communications, announced that the US would not engage in security cooperation with Russia.

Zakharova expressed concern, stating, “Behaviour that is questionably unethical has alarmingly become the standard in liberal democracies.”

On the night of March 22, a terrorist attack occurred at the Crocus City Hall music venue in Krasnogorsk, located just beyond the Moscow city limits. The Russian Investigative Committee reports that the current death toll stands at 137, but this number may increase. The Moscow Region Health Ministry has reported 182 injuries.

Eleven suspects believed to be involved in the terrorist attack have been arrested, including four gunmen who were captured in the Bryansk Region, southwest of Moscow, as they attempted to flee across the nearby Ukrainian border.

In a televised address, President Vladimir Putin stated that preliminary information suggests that the Ukrainian side had intentionally created a “window” in the border for the terrorists to cross undetected. He vowed to identify and punish all those responsible for the attack on Crocus City Hall and declared March 24 a day of national mourning for the victims.”
