TEHRAN, August 7(mehrnews) – Major General Abdolrahim Mousavi, Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces, declared that the recent 12-day US-Israeli aggression against Iran has showcased the unyielding strength and invincibility of the Iranian nation. Speaking at a ceremony in Tehran on Thursday to mark the 40th day since the martyrdom of Iranian civilians, servicemen, and nuclear scientists, Mousavi emphasized the nation’s resilience, rooted in divine belief and historical defiance against foreign powers, particularly the United States.
Mousavi highlighted that the Iranian nation’s spirit, guided by the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, has opened a new chapter in the country’s history. “The world has witnessed that Iran cannot be defeated,” he stated, crediting the nation’s ability to generate power even in the most challenging battlefields. He pointed to the unity forged through adversity, noting that the aggression has only strengthened Iran’s resolve and solidified national cohesion against external threats.
The general underscored the deterrent effect of Iran’s resilience, which he said instills fear in adversaries while bolstering resistance to foreign aggression. He condemned the “illegitimate Zionist regime” and its U.S. backers, equating their actions to “unleashed savagery” rather than strength. “Netanyahu wages war to save himself,” Mousavi remarked, questioning whether Western nations would stake their future on such leadership. He added that the Iranian people will never forget the “cowardly wound” inflicted by the United States, vowing that the nation’s collective memory will fuel its enduring resistance.
The ceremony, attended by military and civilian leaders, served as a tribute to those lost in the recent conflict and a reaffirmation of Iran’s commitment to sovereignty and defiance in the face of global pressures.
