Agreement signed to promote Uzbekistan Tourism through academic collaboration

LAHORE, Pakistan: An agreement aimed at promoting Uzbekistan’s tourism potential through academic collaboration was signed in Lahore between Chaudhry Hamid Mahmood, Brand Ambassador of Uzbekistan Tourism in Pakistan and Director of the Uzbekistan Tourist Information Center (UTIC) Pakistan, and renowned educationist, author and Foreign Affairs Expert Dr. Shazia Cheema.

The signing ceremony was attended by H.E. Rovshan Alimov, Political Counsellor at the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, who appreciated the initiative and described it as an important step toward strengthening cultural and educational ties between the two countries.

Under the agreement, both sides will work to promote Uzbekistan’s rich historical and cultural heritage within academic circles in Pakistan. The initiative seeks to introduce universities, researchers, and students to Uzbekistan’s tourism potential, history, and cultural traditions through scholarly engagement and research activities.
