Pakistan Embassy in Moscow marks 1st anniversary of Maarka‑e‑Haq with renewed call for unity and national resolve

MOSCOW, Russia — The Embassy of Pakistan in Moscow commemorated the first anniversary of Maarka‑e‑Haq (The Battle of Truth) with a solemn and dignified ceremony, underscoring Pakistan’s national unity, strategic restraint, and commitment to regional peace.

In his keynote address, Pakistan’s Ambassador to the Russian Federation, H.E. Faisal Niaz Tirmizi, described Pakistan’s response during Operation Bunyan‑un‑Marsoos as a model of responsible statecraft. He emphasized that Pakistan’s actions in the face of Indian aggression were “measured, lawful, and firmly anchored in international norms,” noting that the country’s political and military leadership demonstrated exceptional coordination at a moment of national consequence.

 

Ambassador Tirmizi highlighted the “unshakeable resolve” of Pakistan’s Armed Forces, praising their readiness to defend the nation’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. He also acknowledged the vital role of public support, which he said strengthened the country’s unified stance during the crisis.

Members of the Pakistani diaspora in Russia also addressed the gathering, voicing a collective message of solidarity and national pride. Speakers expressed deep appreciation for Pakistan’s civil and military leadership, stressing that diplomacy, unity, and strategic patience remain essential to safeguarding regional stability.

Participants reaffirmed their confidence in Pakistan’s leadership and reiterated the diaspora’s commitment to contributing to the nation’s progress, prosperity, and global standing.

The ceremony concluded with the screening of a documentary chronicling the events of Operation Bunyan‑un‑Marsoos, offering attendees a detailed account of the operation and the national response it inspired.
