ABU DHABI -UAE has officially cut diplomatic ties with Israel in response to the tragic killing of seven aid workers by Israeli occupation forces (IOF) in Gaza.

According to i24News, Emirati officials have confirmed this development, describing the relationship between Tel Aviv and Abu Dhabi as facing its “darkest day.”

The global community has expressed outrage over the incident, with Spain criticizing Israel’s justification for the killings as insufficient and unacceptable.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has claimed that the deaths were unintentional. However, observers have pointed out Israel’s failure to take adequate measures to protect civilians and humanitarian personnel since the beginning of its intense campaign in Gaza.

As of now, the death toll from Israel’s relentless and severe offensive has exceeded 33,000.

Despite widespread condemnation and calls for a halt to the devastating war that has been ongoing since October 7, the international community has been unable to pressure Israel into ceasing its actions.

In response, Israel appears determined to continue the conflict despite the humanitarian crisis, marked by disease outbreaks and severe famine, claiming civilian lives in the besieged region.

The UAE was one of the nations that signed the US-mediated Abraham Accord agreements in September 2020, aiming to normalize relations with Israel.
