BAKU, Azerbaijan. June 12 – President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan has expressed profound condolences to the United Kingdom following the deadly crash of an Air India passenger plane in India.
In an official letter addressed to UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer, President Aliyev conveyed the deep sadness felt in Azerbaijan upon learning of the disaster near Ahmedabad, which claimed numerous lives, including citizens of the United Kingdom.
“I share in your sorrow,” President Aliyev wrote, extending his “deepest condolences” both personally and on behalf of the Azerbaijani people. He directed his sympathies to Prime Minister Starmer and, most importantly, to “the families and loved ones of those who lost their lives in this tragedy.”
